Ryan Jones is a native of the Capital Region, where he attended and played soccer for Shenendehowa High School. Ryan has great experience and knowledge for the game, having played and coached at various levels throughout his career.

 

Currently, Jones coaches for the Columbia High School Boys Soccer program and the Greenbush Soccer Club. Ryan previously served as the Boys Travel Coordinator and Goalkeepers Coach for the Greenbush Soccer Club. Prior to his current coaching positions, Jones was on staff with local youth club New York Elite FC and served as the Goalkeeper Coach for the Tri-City Celtics Women's team, formerly in the WPSL.

 

Ryan spent six seasons as an Assistant Coach for the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 2013-2018, specializing mainly in training the Goalkeepers. During the 2014 season, Jones helped guide Goalkeeper Robert Dewald to Liberty League Defensive Player of the Year, ECAC DIII Upstate Men's Defensive Player of the Year and NSCAA All-Region 3rd Team. In the 2015 season, the RPI Engineers earned an At-Large berth to the NCAA Tournament.

 

Prior to coaching, Jones played Goalkeeper collegiately at Syracuse University and in the PDL for the Albany Highlanders and Western Mass Pioneers.
